Campus Recreation & Wellness Center
The University of Iowa Athletics Department and the University of Iowa Recreational Services partnered to construct the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center (CRWC). The $69 million facility, which opened in the summer of 2010, serves as the home for the Hawkeye swimming and diving programs.
The UI swimmers have a state-of-the-art 50-meter competition pool and a separate diving well. The facility also houses the team locker rooms, while boasting a swimming and diving specific training room space.
The CRWC hosted the 2015 NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships, the 2015 Big Ten Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships, and the 2013 National Diving Championships.
In its first year as a competition venue, the CRWC hosted the 2011 USA Diving Winter Nationals. The venue is also slated to host both the men's and women's 2012 Big Ten Swimming and Diving Championships, the 2011 USA Swimming Speedo Sectionals (July 21-24) and the NCAA Zone Diving Qualifer (TBA).
The facility has 20,000 square feet of fitness space over three levels, a 52 1/2 foot climbing wall and a leisure swimming pool among other amenities.
The CRWC is located on the southwest corner of Burlington and Madison Streets. Parking is available one block to the southeast.
